Quick Summary:
Anese That Booty Tho is a walnut shell scrub that’s formulated to help smooth out cellulite, stretch marks, and fight acne.
I’ve seen this product floating around Instagram and was excited to finally give it a try.
I’m definitely pleased with it!
I saw improvement almost immediately.
Even after the first use, I couldn’t believe how soft my booty and legs were.
Another perk is that it helped get rid of some annoying bumps caused by shaving and acne.
Longer term, it did help lessen the appearance of my stretch marks and cellulite, but you have to use it frequently and consistently.
As with any cellulite product, nothing is going to miraculously make your cellulite go away forever.
I like that this product is a scrub because you apply it in the shower and rinse it off right away, which means no sticky feeling or drying time.
I have pretty sensitive skin and I was happy that it didn’t seem to irritate my butt or legs.
The formula is fragrance free, vegan, and cruelty free.
Unfortunately, this scrub is really expensive and the company doesn’t offer any type of guarantee.
$28 only gets you a small 2 oz jar.
Speaking of the jar, I wasn’t a big fan of it because it felt a little unsanitary dipping my fingers in there after each use.
Overall, I do think this is an above average product and I’m happy with the results.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
Anese That Booty Tho is a coarse, sandy like scrub.
Walnut shells are a main exfoliating agent in this scrub.
The particles are very fine but definitely do a fantastic job at exfoliating.
Application
Application is pretty simple.
While you’re in the shower, take 2 moist fingers and dip them into the jar.
Next, work the scrub around in your palm until it has a creamier texture.
The scrub itself is pretty grainy and loose but it turns into a nice texture once it’s mixed with a little water.
Depending on where and how much you apply, you may need a little more than 2 fingers worth.
With circular motions, massage the scrub onto your problem areas such as butt and legs.
Rinse the scrub off once you’re done massaging it in.
The mess goes down the drain, making application pretty easy.
For the best results, use the scrub 2-3 times per week.
Drying Time
A huge plus is that there’s zero drying time!
Once you rinse off the product, you’re good to go.
No need to wait around for drying or sticky feelings like you do with many cellulite creams.
Smell (in the bottle)
In the jar, this scrub has an earthy, aloe vera smell to it.
It’s not the best but this scent seems to be fairly common among cellulite products.
Smell (a few hours after application)
The nice thing about this scrub is that the smell fades away to virtually nothing after you rinse it off.
I like that you can go about your day without smelling like an overpowering aloe vera plant.
Short Term Results
My short term results were awesome!
I couldn’t believe how soft my skin was.
I noticed some results after the very first use.
Right as I rinsed off the product and was finishing up my shower, my butt and legs felt velvety soft.
It also helped reduce the little bumps I had from shaving and acne.
Long Term Results
After using this scrub for a few weeks, the long term results were better than average.
I could definitely tell that my skin was smoother, more hydrated, and felt a bit firmer.
It helped reduce the appearance of my stretch marks and cellulite.
However, you need to use the product frequently to keep these results.
As we’ve mentioned time and time again, no product is going to completely remove cellulite.
The main goal is to help lessen the appearance of it.
Ingredients
Some of the more notable ingredients in That Booty Tho are Walnut Shell Powder, Organic Aloe Leaf Juice, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Vitamin E, Organic White Willow Bark Extract, Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, and Rosehip Seed Oil.
The main exfoliating ingredient in this scrub is organic walnut shell powder.
The super fine particles scrub away flaky, dry skin and help smooth out the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite. It works by regenerating new skin cells and stimulating the flow of blood.
Another beneficial ingredient is Vitamin E, which is packed with soothing antioxidants to help reduce dryness and fine lines.
Organic Jojoba Seed Oil and Rosehip Seed Oil are also great contributions because they contain essential fatty acids and they’re suggested to have anti-aging properties that aid in repairing, hydrating, and rejuvenating skin cells.
Price
A 2.0 oz jar of That Booty Tho costs $28.00.
It ends up costing $14.00 per ounce.
That’s super expensive.
Not to mention you have to tack on another $4, $8, or $12 shipping fees depending on how fast you want the product.
They do seem to have coupon codes every once in awhile, such as “FIRST10”, which currently gives you 10% off your first order.
However, I’m not sure how long that particular offer will last.
Guarantee
Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee for That Booty Tho.
I’m really disappointed because it’s definitely a pricier product.
Another bummer is that they don’t even issue refunds.
The only option is an exchange if you don’t like the product.
