I ended up giving Brazilian Belle Cold Slim Gel 3/5 stars, which is astonishing to me since I’ve yet to find a cooling gel I don’t entirely hate.
As a quick reference, I’ve loathed probably 95% of these types of gels & hot creams.
Brazilian Belle may have single handedly changed my mind on cellulite gels and gave me a glimmer of hope.
I so enjoyed this gel and the results I got from using it.
But it wasn’t without some major concerns right out of the gate.
The second I unscrewed the jar I got smacked in the face with the most intense menthol smell imaginable.
And I hadn’t even pulled up the plastic lid, yet.
Speaking of the plastic lid, it came with a tiny plastic fro-yo spoon fastened to it.
I took the lid off and was presented with a concerning, Jello-like flubber concoction. Which was blue of all things.
I’m instantly concerned when a cellulite product comes with a spoon and looks like a wiggly menthol explosion waiting to attack.
But I must say that I’m so pleasantly surprised with this cooling slim gel.
The application was shockingly painless, and the spoon made it SO manageable and the consistency was perfect.
It went from weird jello to very blendable and absorbed in no time.
And most of all, it wasn’t sticky! That’s my #1 pet peeve with these gels because your skin becomes a sticky trap for the day.
It dried quickly and was 95% stick-free.
The gel is cold and gives off a cooling sensation for 30 – 60+ minutes, but I actually liked the feeling.
It wasn’t too aggressive and felt refreshing.
This gel is definitely more expensive than similar cellulite gels but it’s worth the price, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, the company has a crazy confusing guarantee and return policy, but it looks like you have 30 days to return it and get a refund, if it’s your first time purchasing that product.
If it’s not your first time purchasing the items, they can’t be used or opened, which is a rip off “guarantee”.
And shipping costs are non-refundable, so you have to pay for return shipping if you go down that route.
All in all, I’m happy with this gel and think it’s worth trying out, especially if you’re looking for a cooling gel.
The texture and feel of Brazilian Belle Cold Slim Gel is pretty unique, to say the least.
When you open the jar, it looks and wiggles exactly like blue Jello.
It has a thick consistency but feels cold and slick to the touch.
It also comes with a plastic little white spoon in the lid for application.
I must say, I was DREADING the application process with this cooling gel.
The fact that it’s basically identical to jello AND comes with a spoon…I had some major concerns.
It’s a miracle because the application was actually on the far less traumatizing side of cellulite products.
I’m so impressed with how easy it was.
You just take the spoon from the lid and scoop out a little bit of gel and apply to your problem areas.
The consistency is thick, so it doesn’t melt or slip and slide everywhere.
And another shock is that the jelly-like texture blended into the skin amazingly.
You just use circular motions until the gel is fully absorbed.
This gel can be applied to your tummy, arms, back, calves, thighs, legs, and booty.
You can pair it with sculpting shapewear, massager or waist trimmer belt to improve the results.
It also says to use before physical activity.
For best results, it says to use it daily.
This gel dries SO quickly.
It starts to dry within a minute of applying and is completely dry within 3 – 5 minutes.
I must comment on the fact that there’s virtually no stickiness after it dries.
It’s 95% stick-free, I’d say, which is GLORIOUS compared to any other gel or hot cream I’ve tried.
My biggest pet peeve is feeling sticky all day and acting like a post-it note to anything close by.
I’m also so impressed with the cooling sensation it has.
It’s such a pleasant, refreshing cooling effect and lasts about 30 – 60+ minutes after application.
Normally I loathe the icy/hot feeling from cellulite gels and hot creams.
But this one was surprisingly nice and never got hot or burned.
Smell (in the jar)
The second you unscrew the jar, you’re hit with the biggest wave of menthol ever.
It is JARRING.
It can definitely give you a headache if you’re in a confined space for too long.
I suggest keeping a door open while applying so you can get some air flow to break up the smell.
Smell (a few hours after application)
Luckily the in-your-face menthol explosion fades off after application.
I’m pretty surprised because you can’t really smell it once it’s rubbed in, which is a definite plus!
Short Term Results
This gel contains menthol and a few sources of caffeine, which provides a nice little plumping effect right away.
The effect is temporary but it’s nice to see some results right away.
I also think the cooling effect is really refreshing and makes my legs and booty feel better immediately.
Long Term Results
I’m happy with the long-term results from this cooling slim gel.
My skin looks and feels tighter.
It helped smooth out some of my problem areas and definitely evened out the texture a bit, making my cellulite less noticeable.
One thing I noticed is this gel doesn’t hydrate or moisturize like other cellulite creams.
It contains alcohol too, so it can dry out your skin. So, make sure you’re still moisturizing with a good lotion in between applications.
Also, a quick word of caution, this company (and a lot of other cellulite companies) promise some pretty ridiculous results.
At the end of the day, it’s not a magic potion. It’s important to keep your expectations in check and know that it won’t make you shed pounds, lose inches, and be 100% cellulite free.
These products can definitely help diminish the appearance of cellulite, but they won’t get rid of it completely.
This slimming gel has 16 ingredients and 4 that stand out the most: Caffeine, Menthol, Green Tea, Aloe Vera.
Caffeine is commonly found in anti-cellulite products and for good reason. It’s thought to help increase circulation and may aid in breaking down the fatty deposits that give us the bumpy appearance of cellulite.
Menthol is another ingredient used to help ward off cellulite. Like caffeine, it may help boost circulation and blood flow and in turn tighten the skin.
Green tea is naturally packed with health, body, and skin goodness. It’s chock full of antioxidants that protect the skin, fight off harmful free radicals, and provide anti-aging benefits. Green tea is believed to encourage skin cell regeneration, reduce inflammation, improve skin elasticity, boost collagen, and help firm the skin.
Aloe Vera is another natural powerhouse. It helps heal the skin and reduces inflammation and pain in the process. This plant nourishes our skin by soothing it with ample hydration and moisture. It also helps remove dead skin cells and bumps up the production of elastin and collagen. Aloe Vera may even work to diminish the appearance of fine lines, blemishes, and scars.
A 6 oz jar of Brazilian Belle Cold Slim Gel is $29.99 on BrazilianBelle.com.
You also have to tack on $7.95 for shipping, so it ends up totaling $37.94.
They do offer free shipping for orders over $40, but this product alone doesn’t qualify.
It works out to be $6.32 an ounce when you factor in shipping costs.
This gel is more expensive than others I’ve tried like it, but I have to say I like this particular one a LOT better.
So, the quality justifies the price on this one.
Ok… this is the most confusing guarantee. It had me going around in circles, but I think I finally figured it out.
Minus one (relatively big) discrepancy.
It says on the product page they back up your purchase with a 90-Day 100% Money Back Guarantee.
That’s all fine and dandy except for the fact the return policy page says only a 30-day guarantee.
They also sell this slim gel on Amazon and on that page, it states a “Full 90 day no-risk, no-nonsense 100% Money Back Guarantee”.
I’m still confused about the time frame, but we know it’s at least 30 days.
It gets a little more muddied because their return policy has some stipulations.
They say if for any reason you aren’t completely satisfied with your purchase, they will accept your timely return of such items per their return policy guidelines.
Merchandise must be unused, and undamaged by the consumer. They will not accept any damaged or used merchandise for refund or replacement. So basically, you can’t return the product if it’s opened… which is a sorry excuse for a guarantee.
All first-time purchases of any given product are backed by a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee and can be opened and used.
To be eligible for a refund, you must first email their customer service and request a return authorization. Your email must be sent to mailto:email@example.com prior to any product being returned to them to receive a Return Authorization.
Returns will not be processed without a Return Authorization.
You also have to pay for return shipping and returned items must be received by Brazilian Belle within 30 days of your date of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price.
