Quick Summary:
Too Cool For School Fizzy Body Sculpting Mousse gets 2.5 out of 5 stars from me.
I REALLY want to rate this cellulite mousse higher because there’s so much I love about it but it fell short in a few areas.
I’ll go over what I love about this product first.
So first and foremost, I was so pleasantly surprised while using this product.
It’s super unique, fun, and easy to use.
AND it feels great on your skin.
It has these sparkling carbonated air bubbles that pop and fizz while you’re applying it.
Your skin instantly feels cool, refreshed, and toned.
It’s like a little energizer boost for your skin.
The product isn’t runny, smelly, or ridiculously sticky.
It went on quick and easy and dried instantly.
Plus and double plus!
My skin felt tighter like when you use a facial toner.
It’s also really affordable.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a guarantee, though.
And the long term results weren’t as great as I had hoped.
I saw some improvement with my cellulite but nothing major.
Another drawback is this formula uses a TON of ingredients and I’m not a fan of some of what’s used.
And the few active ingredients don’t seem to be used in high enough amounts.
So if they could just combine this crazy awesome mousse with more active ingredients and less filler and additives, I think they’d have a stellar product.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
The texture and feel of this product is so fun and interesting.
It’s a white, airy mousse that feels great on the skin.
It’s really lightweight and immediately gives your skin a cooling, refreshing feel.
Almost like how your skin feels after you use a facial astringent or toner.
Fresh, tight, and clean!
Application
Application is probably one of my top favorites I’ve tried so far (and I’ve tried A LOT!)
It’s so unique, simple, fun, and quick.
And most importantly, there’s literally ZERO MESS!!
Hallelujah!
Just shake the bottle about 10x and then spray liberally onto your palm and massage into your problem areas.
You can use it on your legs, butt, arms, and stomach.
Once you apply the mousse to your skin, the air bubbles start to pop and fizz!
You can feel, hear, and see it immediately!
It reminded me of the Pop Rocks candy.
It was fun and just so easy to use.
Drying Time
The drying time is literally amazing.
The mousse dries almost INSTANTLY.
That’s a HUGE plus in my book.
I can’t tell you how often I’m waiting around for my cellulite products to dry.
It’s so annoying and time consuming.
So this one dries pretty much the second you put it on.
It does stay a tiny bit sticky for a minute or two but literally nothing I’d complain about.
Smell (in the bottle)
In the bottle, this cellulite product smells like a medicinal, grapefruit scent.
It’s kind of odd and I can’t put my finger on it.
But it reminds me of the smell when you walk into the nail salon, like the more chemical smell.
Smell (a few hours after application)
After applying this lotion, the scent pretty much completely fades away.
I didn’t notice a smell at all once I was done.
I actually like this because some products smell SO strong and pungent.
Short Term Results
The short term results were good.
My skin felt toned and tighter after using the product.
Long Term Results
After a couple weeks, the long term results were about average, or maybe a bit less, compared to other cellulite products.
My skin felt tighter, toned, and the appearance of my cellulite improved slightly.
I was expecting a little bit better results, so I was a little disappointed.
However, we know that no cellulite cream is going to wipe away cellulite completely.
So you have to be reasonable with your expectations.
Ingredients
The Too Cool For School Fizzy Body Sculpting Mousse has a TON of ingredients.
If you’re curious, here’s the massive list of ingredients:
Butane, Propane, Aqua/Water/Eau, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cyclopenta Siloxane, Ceramide Np, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, 1,2- Hexanediol, Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Ulmus Davi Diana Root Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxy Ethylcellulose, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract, Ilex Paraguariensis Leaf Extract (Mate Tea Extract), Talc, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Polysorbate 20, Fructan, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium Edta, Hydrogenated Lecithin.
Unfortunately, it seems to be lacking in active ingredients.
There are 5 ingredients they mention that are supposed to help with cellulite and the overall look and feel of skin.
And they are listed further down in the ingredients list, which means there’s not a ton of each one.
Mate Tea Extract is thought to help reduce the appearance of cellulite with caffeine.
Amaranth Seed Oil is believed to support natural blood circulation, which may help improve the look of cellulite.
Grapefruit Peel Oil has an anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain, which may help break down cellulite.
Ceramide Np and Centella Asiatica Extract are used to help soothe and moisturize the skin.
Price
It costs $28.00 for a 5.07-ounce bottle if you buy it online at Sephora.
When you break it down, it works out to $5.52 per ounce.
That’s really affordable for a cellulite product.
Guarantee
I bought this on Sephora’s website and I didn’t see any type of guarantee.
This is definitely a bummer!
You may have better luck depending on where you buy it.
Some stores at least have a return policy in place if you don’t like it.
But be sure to find out beforehand!
