    Quick Summary:

So, to be completely frank, as I always am with you guys, I was SO not looking forward to this cellulite product once I realized it was from the same brand, ELAIMEI, that I just tried not too long ago.

I was very tentative but also optimistic that this product might be different than the previous ELAIMEI cream I tested out and had an absolutely awful experience with. (ELAIMEI Slimming Cream…ugh total yikes!)

Something with “Super-Intense” in the name didn’t give me much hope, though.

After finishing up this review, I give ELAIMEI Super-Intense Firming + Smoothing Body Serum a 1 out of 5 star rating.

And I’m OFFICIALLY, 100% not a fan of this crazy brand.

But the show must go on and I’ll continue to give you my firsthand experiences with these products, the good, the bad, and the ugly!

So just like the other ELAIMEI cream, this product gave me such an intense, horrible reaction.

My skin felt like lava.  It was ridiculously itchy, red, raised, and angry looking.

As I mentioned in my other review of this brand, I always do a little extra research to make sure I wasn’t a fluke if something reacted terribly with me.

And little to my surprise, many other women faced the same crazy reactions as I did.

No product is worth feeling like your skin is crawling and you need to bath in ice to cool down.

This brand is on my poop list!

They promise ridiculous results and have totally altered before and after pictures.

They use weird ingredients and all of the information is written in bad English.

Nothing about it makes me feel comfortable and that’s why I’m here.

To tell you the scoop before you waste your time with a product!

This is another product that gets a definite “you shall not pass” score.

    Thank you, next!

    Detailed Opinion:

    Texture/Feel

Right off the bat, ELAIMEI is totally unclear about the product you’re getting.

The actual product is a white cream that feels slick to the touch.

But for some reason, they use contradicting words throughout.

They use the verbiage “slimming cream” and “hot cream” in the online description.

But the name of the product is Super-Intense Firming + Smoothing Body Serum.

    So they name it a serum…but it’s definitely a lotion-like cream.

And then in the instructions, it says to squeeze the “gel” out and massage in with rollerballs.

Nothing is consistent and it’s so hard to tell what type of product you’re getting until you actually have it in your hand and are applying it.

    Application

I was mistakenly very excited that this product has rollerballs (5 to be exact) to apply and massage the product in with.

I’m a sucker for interesting and unique applicators when it comes to cellulite products.

Sadly, the rollerball applicators seem cooler than they actually are.

The directions say to apply twice a day (which who really has time for that?).

To use, twist the tube head to the ON position.  Hold firmly and press rollerballs against your skin, squeezing the cream out and massaging across thighs, bottom, and any problem areas.

It says that the massage stimulates circulation, but I really just didn’t feel much stimulus from these 5 little balls and I was very hopeful!

I was so pumped to have an applicator that kept my hands clean!

But the rollerballs do a horrible job at actually massaging in the cream and helping it absorb.

I still had to use my hands to finish rubbing it in and that was such a disappointment to me.

The rollerballs just seem to be more for show than efficiency.

It has a warning on the bottle that says you may feel a warming/tingling sensation after application and that this is a sign that the cream is working.

I beg to differ because I had a straight up reaction to this cream and was so red and itchy!

I’ve used countless “hot creams” and I know when it’s working vs. irritating products that my skin is reacting to.

    Drying Time

It says to wait about 2 to 3 minutes before getting dressed to let the product settle in.

However, it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the cream to dry and unfortunately it’s sticky.

Sticky feeling products are an absolute pet peeve of mine, too!

    Smell (in the bottle)

In the bottle, I can’t smell anything!

All you can smell is a metallic like scent from the roller balls.

Smell (a few hours after application)

Surprisingly, I really can’t smell a darn thing after this cream is applied.

I’ll take that as one tiny plus because some other cellulite creams smell absolutely putrid.

    Short Term Results

    Negative short-term results.

My skin just felt so irritated, itchy, and aggravated.

It made my skin and cellulite WORSE because my skin looked so upset.

So legitimately upset and mad at this product.

    Long Term Results

This product says right on the bottle “skin feels firmer in 14 days”.

    Which is definitely false.

All I got was continued skin irritation, redness, and burning.

Ugly looking rashes definitely don’t equal firmer feeling skin!

They also have a laundry list of other promises that are so unrealistic and honestly just pathetic.

It makes me drill home that not all products are created equal and to do your research!

Here’s a few of the things it says this slimming cream does:

    • Reduce edema caused by excessive sweating (umm, that’s a new one to me)
    • Lose weight and banish unwanted fat
    • Ultimate workout booster, will make you sweat more and keep you motivated

    Ingredients

There are 23 ingredients in this cellulite cream.

Oddly enough, there are a ton of ingredients that I’ve never seen before and don’t stick out as being common cellulite fighters.

They also use a bunch of ingredients that I can’t pronounce or recognize and seem like a bunch of funky chemicals and additives.

The first thing they mention on the product page is that the slimming cellulite cream is made of organic natural ingredients, however not one thing on the ingredients list is labeled as organic… Definite red flags and abuse of buzz words!

It also says “no harmful chemicals, does not irritate the skin”, which I know for a fact the latter isn’t true!

I was able to pluck out a few beneficial ingredients in the lineup, even though they appeared almost last in the overall ingredient list.

Caffeine is used, but unfortunately it’s the very last ingredient listed, which means there’s very little of it.  Nevertheless, caffeine is a frequent flyer in cellulite products because it’s believed to increase circulation and help breakdown fatty deposits that make up the dimpled appearance of cellulite.

Retinol, again appearing in the lower half of the ingredient list, is thought to increase blood flow, thicken the dermis, promote collagen production, repair cell structure, and smooth skin’s appearance.

Vitamin C + E are skin-nourishing antioxidants that are believed to have a brightening effect on the skin.

    Price

I bought this on Amazon for $9.99 and it comes in a 120ml tube (roughly 4 fl oz).

It works out to about $2.49 per oz.

That’s super cheap in the world of cellulite creams.

But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

I think this product is a total waste of money, no matter how affordable it seems!

    Guarantee

Thank goodness ELAIMEI has a risk free money back guarantee.

On their Amazon page, it says they offer an unconditional 100% satisfaction guarantee.

All you need to do is return the product within 30 days and they will issue you a full refund, no questions asked.

But maybe they should ask questions so they can get more insight on how the product can lead to crazy skin irritation and rash!
