    Quick Summary:

Oh my… I feel personally victimized by this dang body scrub.

I literally hate everything about Handcraft Blends Anti Cellulite Body Scrub and give it a 1 star rating.

I’m so ready to be done with this product forever but alas I need to let you guys know the scoop before I put the nail in its tiny coffin.

I’m all for an exfoliating body scrub and love using them, just not this one.

First off, it’s strictly sold on Amazon.  I don’t like when companies don’t have an actual website or location to find out more about them… it makes me wary.

There’s also a suspiciously high amount of 5 star reviews on Amazon compared to only a handful of reviews for 1-3 star ratings.

The product itself is cheap and you basically get exactly what you pay for.

I feel like the jar needs a warning label for how STRONG the smell is.

It’s so crazy overpowering and smells like Pledge or a chemical cleaner.

And the fumes travel when you’re using it!

This is a scrub that you use in the shower, so I was expecting something pretty easy and straightforward.

    Boy was I wrong.

The scrub itself is so oily and messy and leaks everywhere.

You can watch the Youtube video of me struggle busing trying to show you guys what it looks like as it explodes all over me.

You’re supposed to leave the scrub on for 5-10 minutes, but you can’t have the water running while you wait because it will wash right off.

So that added to my frustration.

And to top it all off, my skin HATED this scrub.

It made me so red, itchy, and uncomfortable.

This is NOT for sensitive skin!

It also says it’s supposed to do all these ridiculous things like boost your metabolism, detox, and burn fat.

    Yeah, no.

Don’t believe silly claims like that.

But it also did nothing that cellulite products really can help with like smoothing, toning, and firming your skin.

It honestly left my skin in worse shape than when I started.

And to top everything off, they have some spelling errors on their Amazon page, which is a pet peeve of mine.

So take my warning and stay far away from this crazy, so called “anti cellulite scrub”.

    Detailed Opinion:

    Texture/Feel

Handcraft Blends Anti Cellulite Body Scrub is a course, sandy like scrub.

The exfoliating particles are suspended in a greasy, oily concoction that ends up getting everywhere and likes to leak out of the lid.

    Application

I wasn’t expecting much trouble with this body scrub, but boy was I in for a surprise.

10/10 dreaded applying this product every time.

It’s the oiliest, messiest, most irritating experience.

And it’s a real struggle to get out of the jar and apply without it getting everywhere.

The directions say:  while showering, apply to your problem areas such as cellulite or stretch marks, and massage with circular, upward, massaging motions. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off.  For best results, use 2x per week.

That’s all fine and dandy but it also says that the water shouldn’t be running during the 5-10 minutes.

So you’re just standing there awkwardly, freezing cold in the shower while you wait.

And the scrub doesn’t like staying put in the first place.

To top it off, my skin DID NOT like any or all of the ingredients in this scrub and I was SO itchy and red.

    YIPES!

    Drying Time

There’s no drying time with this cellulite product because you rinse it off in the shower after you’re done.

    Smell (in the jar)

Holy moly!  This may be one of my top 5 most HATED smells.

In the jar, it’s the most pungent citrus scent that absolutely attacks your nose.

It gives me the worst headache.  The smell reminds me of Pledge or a chemical cleaner.

The smell is so strong that it fills the entire room while you’re applying it.

Smell (a few hours after application)

Luckily the crazy nasty smell starts to fade after you rinse the product off.

    Short Term Results

Yikes! This scrub is NOT for sensitive skin.

It made me SO itchy and red and uncomfortable.

    I loathed using it!

Definitely zero short term results from this scrub.

    Long Term Results

I’m sad to say that the long-term results were just as disappointing.

After a few weeks, I think it may have helped exfoliate my skin somewhat, but it was still so much more aggravating and uncomfortable compared to other scrubs I’ve used.

I feel like it did a number on my skin equilibrium and totally messed up my skin tone, texture, and moisture levels.

It really did more harm than good to my poor skin and it gave me absolutely none of the results it touted on the jar or online.

    Ingredients

This cellulite scrub has a total of 16 ingredients and of those these are the ones that stick out:  Sweet Orange Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Dead Sea Salts, & Vitamin C.

Sweet Orange Oil and Vitamin C are chock full of beneficial antioxidants to help strengthen and protect the skin from harmful external factors like free radicals.

They’re also thought to rejuvenate the skin by encouraging collagen production that helps smooth and plump the skin.

Organic Aloe Vera Juice has a multitude of skin benefits.  We usually think to grab it when we have a nasty sunburn because of its healing properties and ability to reduce pain and inflammation.

But it’s our ally for fighting cellulite, too.  It’s naturally very moisturizing, hydrating, and skin soothing.  Aloe Vera penetrates the skin and helps enzymes remove dead skin cells.  It also has polysaccharides that work to repair and promote the formation of collagen and elastin.  Aloe Vera is thought to also help reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes, and wrinkles.

Dead Sea Salts contain a wide variety of essential minerals that are beneficial to our skin.  They can help improve the overall look and feel of your skin and lessen the appearance of unwanted cellulite dimples.  These salts help improve our skin by strengthening the barrier skin function, adding hydration, and reducing redness and skin roughness.

    Price

A 10 oz jar of Handcraft Blends Anti Cellulite Body Scrub is $14.95 on Amazon.

That works out to just about $1.50 per ounce.

That’s very cheap for a cellulite product and unfortunately, in this case, you get what you pay for.

    Guarantee

Thank goodness Handcraft Blends gives you a guarantee.

On their Amazon page, it says you can try it risk free and if you’re not completely satisfied, they will give you a full refund.

It doesn’t give any sort of time frame (30, 60, 90 days, etc), so I’m not positive if there is one or not.
