    Quick Summary:

Luminositie LumiTone Anti Cellulite Gel gets 2 out of 5 stars from me.

It’s definitely a below average product.

It did make my skin feel very soft and tighter/firmer.

But it eventually dried out my skin and made my cellulite look worse on occasion.

It’s a cheap product that doesn’t have a guarantee, bummer!

The gel is like a clear Flubber consistency that’s super bouncy and smells like strong cinnamon sticks or potpourri.

You’re supposed to apply it daily with the Luminositie hand held massager.

The massager was like a little torture device.  It has hard plastic nodules that honestly hurt.

It’s weird because the massager basically just pushes the gel around and it takes FOREVER to absorb this way.

After awhile, I ended up just using my hands to rub it in.

The gel is cooling but also sticky.

All in all, it’s definitely not the best product.

I do think it helped my cellulite a little bit but longer term it almost had the opposite effect at times, which was weird!

    Detailed Opinion:

    Texture/Feel

Luminositie LumiTone Anti Cellulite Gel has a very strange texture and feel.

It’s like a jiggly, jelly, clear gel substance.

It’s wet and cold to the touch.

    Application

The application process is messy, cold, and sticky and sometimes painful depending how you apply it.

The directions say once every day, apply the gel generously to problem areas after showering such as butt, thighs, legs, arms, and abs.

It says it can be used as a base product under other creams or beneath any type of wrap (salt soaked strips, gauze, etc).

Then it says to massage into the skin using the hand held Luminositie massager in large circular movements.

It has a cooling sensation, which made me pretty cold.

And the application process is confusing because the massager doesn’t make it absorb AT ALL.

The small hand held massager has hard little plastic nodules / spikes all over it.

It just painfully pushes the gel around.

It especially hurt on my thighs and legs and turned them red.

I ditched the massager after awhile and just used my hands to rub it in.

    Drying Time

The gel takes about 5 – 10 minutes to completely dry.

But it takes forever to absorb if you just use the massager.

When I just used my hand to rub it in, it dried so much quicker.

    Smell (in the bottle)

In the jar, this cellulite gel is SUPER strong.

It smells like overpowering cinnamon potpourri.

I thought it was such a strange smell for a cellulite product.

It reminded me of the cinnamon pinecones they have around the holidays.

It’ll definitely give you a headache if you smell it straight out of the jar for too long.

Smell (a few hours after application)

After applied and absorbed into the skin, the smell fades pretty quickly.

I was surprised because it fades away completely within a short amount of time.

I’m glad because it’s way too strong in the jar!

    Short Term Results

The short term results were pretty good.

The gel made my skin very soft!

It also seemed to tighten my skin, which made it appear a little firmer.

    Long Term Results

The tightness I experienced slowly turned into dry, tight feeling skin.

It felt like my skin was dehydrated, which wasn’t fun.

It still helped the appearance of my cellulite a tiny bit but at some points my dry skin made it look worse.

So it was kind of 50/50.

    Ingredients

Luminositie LumiTone Anti Cellulite Gel has about 20+ ingredients but they put emphasis on these particular 3:  Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, Cinnamon Essential Oil, and Dead Sea Salt.

They say that pink grapefruit essential oil helps break down cellulite and smooth skin.

Cinnamon essential oil is believed to help promote better blood circulation and firm legs and buttocks.

They mention that Dead Sea salt may assist your body in removing toxins and eliminating cellulite.

    Price

On the Luminositie website, a 9 oz jar costs $20.45.

That works out to $2.27 per ounce.

That’s really cheap as far as cellulite products go.

Overall, it ends up being a fairly cheap value.

    Guarantee

Luminositie doesn’t offer any kind of guarantee. : (

Their website is pretty bare, as well.

Such a disappointment when companies don’t offer some type of guarantee for their customers.
